You knew it was going to happen. We all knew it would happen. We had prescience!
Even with thousands of hours of volunteer help they went over budget.
No problem! Buffalo taxpayers to the rescue! Just write a check. Just raise the water and sewer rates or just get another grant! There's no end in sight.
When one takes into consideration the numerous, hundreds of undocumented, unnamed, untallied, unknown hours of labor costs as a result of city employees working on the project the budget is blown away!
We can't make too big deal about this because everyone, from Inside Buffalo to the dogs running around Town terrorizing certain citizens, knew the Town would exceed their budgetary limitations. Everyone also knew that there would be hundreds and hundreds of man-hours from city employees put into the project which, although he said he'd document the hours, the Town Manager failed to do so.
